National EAP was proud to participate in the Philanthropy Network of New York (PNNY) UnConference, an event designed to foster collaboration, inspiration, and meaningful dialogue among nonprofit and philanthropic professionals. Representing National EAP, Aoifa O’Donnell shared her insights during a thought-provoking session on “The Courage to be Happy.”
Reflecting on her presentation, Aoifa shared, “I was good with me” … we should all be able to stand tall and speak about ‘The Courage to be Happy.’” She spoke alongside distinguished leaders Rebekah Gregory-Varney, Jeffrey L. Reynolds, Ph.D., Renee Daniel Flagler, Rhonda Klch, and Michele Rebetti, offering perspectives on personal resilience, workplace well-being, and the importance of embracing happiness as part of professional and personal growth.
For those who missed it, you can watch highlights of the event here.
In addition to her session, National EAP team members connected with attendees at the networking and vendor meet-up, engaging with nonprofit professionals about how we support organizations and their employees through leadership development, wellness programs, and employee assistance services. Attendees were even treated to a small token of stress relief—stress balls from National EAP—perfect for navigating the challenges of the day.
The UnConference was expertly curated by PNNY’s Kim Cottage and Elizabeth Saitta, creating an engaging and inspiring environment that celebrated a community rooted in purpose, connection, and giving back. National EAP is proud to support initiatives that bring people together, foster dialogue, and strengthen organizations and communities alike.
